Technologies

Youtek: Combines superior technologies to perfectly match your individual needs. Whether your game is aggressive and adventurous, or consistent and smooth, YouTek enhances your performance and brings out the best in you.

Graphene: This technology is integrated into the racquet shaft, making it more stable and allowing the optimized redistribution of weight. Weight is thus shifted to the tip and grip, providing better maneuverability and increased swingweight. Thanks to its revolutionary construction with the world's strongest and lightest material, graphene, this racquet provides the optimal redistribution of weight, giving you more power with even less effort.

I've been playing with this racquet for the last 2

I've been playing with this racquet for the last 2 months. I usually play with a Babolat Pure Drive. Unfortunately my shoulder is giving me a hard time so I had to look for a "softer" racquet. At first it was not easy because the feeling is totally diferent. To start, the wonderfull "pop" feeling in a good ground stroke is not there and that takes a lot of the fun. However, the spin is great, the power is still there and it is really arm friendly. You probably get to play better but less pleasure in your strokes. In my case, I can play 3 times per week and no arm problems.

As a 'super' senior player and coach, I had been using the Instinct MP. I bought this one for my (beginner) wife with whom I have been coaching. Tried the PWR and have been using it for 2 weeks; I must say it has helped me regain some steps as advertised! I would recommend this one to seniors looking for a less challenging ride than the heavier MPs or players' frames. Will stick with it; now trying some soft polys strung at the lower tension ranges.

I am a senior player that just returned to the game

I am a senior player that just returned to the game after a 25 year lay off. This racquet is great! Light weight and quick at the net. The extra length also helps add a little pace to the serve. I have also had rotator cuff repair on both shoulders and the racquet is very easy on my shoulders. I have been playing 3 days a week with no problems. I am in the process of buying a second one. It's great!

I demoed both the Pure Drive and Head YOUTEK IG Prestige

I demoed both the Pure Drive and Head YOUTEK IG Prestige Midplus at the same time. We were out playing doubles for a couple of days and three of us tried both racquets. All of us disliked the Head YOUTEK IG Prestige Midplus (one of the guys uses Head racquets). We all really liked the Babolat Pure Drive, as it hit really well. I find that my arm tires after several sets (I play fast and have a full fast swing) so I decided to try the Pure Drive Lite. The Lite is just as amazing as its brother. There was plenty of control, feel, touch, power and stability. I was worried about the stability on my returns (one of the guys has a BIG serve), but there were no worries there. Both the lite and regular are fine racquets. If you use strings such as Weiss Cannon and the Luxilon 4G, I find that tension around 50 or 52 lbs works best. Through the last 25 years I've always strung my racquets at 62lbs, so I was concerned about the loss of control when dropping 10 pounds, but not so with the two amazing stings I mentioned. They play well, and I think I prefer the 4G with its better feel and pocketing. I strung a full bed, no hybrid.

In conclusion

The Head Graphene PWR Instinct is, in this writer’s humble opinion, the standout frame in Head’s PWR series for 2013. Light weight and easy to swing, it provides more than enough power for beginning to intermediate baseline and all-court players with low to moderate swing speeds (a lot of the tennis-playing community). It may actually be an even greater benefit on the serve, its low mass and high power helping these players be more successful with the hardest shot in the game. If this description matches your style of play demo the Graphene PWR Instinct today.

I tried this out wanting better net coverage for my doubles since I mainly play doubles. It has been awesome. Was worried about the light weight and has not been an issue with my arm at all. Overall I think this racquet will help my level of tennis and probably result in a bump in my NTRP rating.

Im a 3.5 - 4.0 player and have been scouring the market

Im a 3.5 - 4.0 player and have been scouring the market in recent years looking for an extra light power-racket to replace my favored, but aging Head Si6 and Si12 Titanium racquets. My search is finally over! My game has been rejuvenated! Thank you HEAD...
