Technologies

Aeromodular2 : The second generation of Babolat's AEROMODULAR technology. Features a frame with varying profiles at the throat, shaft and the head of the racquet, each of which are strategically shaped to reduce wind drag and boost swing speed. It features internal Woofer and Cortex systems.

FSI technology: Frame String Interaction, the 2015 Pure Drive´s FSI technology was designed around this new area: - Woofer system to bring more feel to player with each strike of the ball - Tighter stringing pattern in the sweetspot area A higher sweetspot for more power and comfort in the contact zone. A tighter string pattern for more dirctional control.

CORTEX: The Cortex System provides 25% more contact between the ball and strings. The handle and the frame of Babolat Rackets that use the Cortex System are actively linked by the CDS (Cortex Dampening System) which filters and dampens the vibration that can interfere with racket feel. Unwanted high vibration frequencies are removed while low vibration frequencies are preserved, thus enhancing feel.

I recently made a big change from the Wilson Steam

I recently made a big change from the Wilson Steam 99S to this racquet because my coach suggested it so that I can get more wrist action. I had it strung with RPM Blast 16G at about 59 lbs. Although my groundstrokes improved a little bit, one thing I noticed was the vibration. At the time I was using one of the wide vibration dampeners (Wilson Shock Shield). At the suggestion of others, I switched strings to the Babloat Hurricane 16g with tension 52 lbs and still the vibration persisted. I added two additional smaller (round) vibration dampeners so now three total. Still the vibration is there and it is driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

Received my Pure Aero Team few days ago which surprised

Received my Pure Aero Team few days ago which surprised me. I had it strung with 17g RPM in the mains 55 lbs and the crosses strung with Gamma Glide strung at 50 lbs. I've chosen to use a small grip 0. The feel is good and I get that backend snap and the ball drops like a rock. People think the ball is going out but it has enough spin to ball the ball down. I'm going to see if my daughter wants to switch from the Pure Drive to the Pure Aero Team. Love the racquet.
